Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission has intensified preparations to start the new teacher recruitment process. On Saturday, Chairperson of the Commission, Prof. Kirti Pandey held a meeting and asked for details of the vacant posts in primary, secondary and higher education by March 2025. He directed the concerned directors to provide the requisition (details of vacancies) within a week.
Highlights of the meeting
- Portal modification required for requisition:
- The Directors and their representatives stated that the Commission’s portal required amendments.
- The requisition can be sent online only after amendment.
- Discussion on obstacles faced in recruitment:
- Brainstorming was held to remove obstacles related to qualifications and service rules in the recruitment process.
- There is controversy regarding the eligibility of some subjects in TGT-PGT recruitment.
- The Commission will soon send a letter to the government regarding eligibility and service rules.
- Officers present in the meeting:
- Dr. Amit Bhardwaj (Director of Higher Education), Dr. BL Sharma (Assistant Director of Higher Education), Shivji Malviya (Commission Secretary),
- Kamtaram Pal (Additional Director Basic), and other Joint Directors.
Teacher recruitment plan in new departments
The Commission has also planned to recruit teachers in new departments:
- Atal Residential School.
- Vocational school.
- Minority College.
- Teachers’ service manual has been prepared for these departments.
- The rules have been sent to the government for approval.
Selection for medical officer posts canceled
Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has canceled the selection of four candidates selected for the posts of Medical Officer Grade-2 (Orthopedician and Ophthalmologist) in the Medical Health and Family Welfare Department.
- Reason: Non-submission of certificates or documents.

Discussion on pending cases postponed
A meeting was scheduled to discuss disposal of pending cases with the UPPSC empaneled advocates, but it was postponed due to technical reasons. The new date will be announced soon.
