Preeti, Nishad Kumar, Deepti and Ravi Rongali secure Paris Paralympics 2024 quota

Kobe, May 20 (Hindustan Reporter) Indian para-athletes Preeti Pal, Nishad Kumar, Deepti Jeevanji and Ravi Rongali clinched Paris Paralympics 2024 quotas on the third day of the Kobe Para Athletics World Championships 2024 on Sunday. ,

India's Preeti Pal won a bronze medal in the women's 200m T35 category, taking India's medal tally to 2 after the third day.

Earlier, Tokyo 2020 Paralympics silver medallist, Nishad Kumar won the silver medal in the men's high jump T47 final with an incredible season-best mark of 1.99m. Additionally, Ram Pal finished sixth with his season's best of 1.90 metres.

Deepti Jeevanji qualified for the final of the women's 400m T20 heats by setting a new Asian record with a timing of 56.18 seconds.

Khelo India para athlete Ravi Rongali secured a Paris Paralympics 2024 quota for India with a throw of 9.75m in the men's shot put F40, finishing sixth in the event.
