Jan Suraj founder Prashant Kishore has started a fast unto death at Gandhi Maidan in Patna, demanding re-conduct of the 70th BPSC examination. Prashant Kishore has made it clear that his agitation will continue until Chief Minister Nitish Kumar meets the students. He said that the Chief Minister can choose five students, but his ego has increased to such an extent that he does not want to meet. PK insisted, “We also insist that the Chief Minister will have to meet the students.”
Prashant Kishore said that the administration officials had appealed to him to withdraw the movement, but he rejected it and made it clear that he cannot take steps against the faith of his comrades. He told that on December 29, there was lathicharge on the students by the administration, and now under any circumstances he will not withdraw the movement under the pressure of the administration.
PK also said that currently they are sitting on strike in a part of Gandhi Maidan, but if the administration betrays them then they will occupy the entire Gandhi Maidan. He also said that he has no connection with the examination to be held on January 4 and the grievances of the students whose examination has already been conducted should be resolved by the Chief Minister only. But the arrogance of the Chief Minister is still intact, so they will continue the movement.
Let us tell you that earlier on December 29, a march was taken out from Gandhi Maidan to Chief Minister House under the leadership of Prashant Kishore, but near JP Golambar, the police lathicharged the students, in which many students were injured. After the assurance from the administration, PK had stopped the agitation for some time, but now once again he has gone on fast unto death for the demands of the students. PK’s agitation is in its second day today.
