New Delhi, August 21 (HS). Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Prahlad Venkatesh Joshi will lay the foundation stone of the Electric Vehicle (EV) Testing Facility of National Test House (NTH) RRSL Camp in Bengaluru on Thursday, August 22. This electric vehicle testing facility will provide significant support to the industry.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution said that Union Minister Prahlad Venkatesh Joshi will lay the foundation stone of the Electric Vehicle (EV) Testing Facility of National Test House (NTH) RRSL Camp in Bengaluru on August 22. The ministry said that a satellite centre is being opened at RRSL Jakkuru Campus, Bengaluru, Karnataka to expand its reach in South India and open testing facilities in upcoming areas like EV battery and charger testing.
The ministry said that this new EV testing facility in Bengaluru will further enhance the developing ecosystem of electric vehicles and provide significant support to the EV industry and contribute to the broader goals of environmental sustainability and innovation in automotive technology. It is worth noting that RRSL, Bengaluru is one of the regional standard reference standard laboratories of legal metrology (weights and measures) for testing and calibration of weighing and measuring instruments.
