Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban 2024 Apply Online: Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U) was launched by the Government of India to help urban people realize their dream of owning a house. Now PMAY-U 2.0 has been approved by the government. So know how you can take advantage of this scheme.
Government helps in 4 ways
- Under this scheme, the government will help 1 crore urban poor and middle class families to build, buy or rent houses in urban areas in the next five years.
- The central government helps the beneficiary in four ways. Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC), Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP), Affordable Rental Housing (ARH) and Interest Subsidy Scheme (ISS).
Support for 3 categories
- The cost of building construction under BLC, AHP and ARH will be shared between the Ministry, State/UT/ULB and eligible beneficiaries.
- The government assistance under AHP/BLC will be ₹2.50 lakh per category, subject to certain conditions.
2.50 lakh rupees help will be given in Gujarat
- Rs 2.25 lakh per family for BLC and AHP category of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, states of North-Eastern region and Union Territories (UT) Jammu and Kashmir, Puducherry and Delhi by the Central Government. In this, the state government will give at least Rs 0.25 lakh per family
- For all other Union Territories including Gujarat, the central government will provide a minimum of Rs 2.50 lakh per family.
- Apart from this, for other states, the Central Government will provide a minimum of Rs 1.50 lakh per family and the State Government will provide a minimum of Rs 1.00 lakh per family.
