Bageshwar, 17 October (Hindustan Reporter). Villagers have accused the postmaster of Simgarhi post office branch of Kanda tehsil area of embezzlement. The villagers created a ruckus in the post office. The police reached the spot and pacified the matter.
40-50 people reached Simgarhi branch of post office Kamedidevi. Villagers created ruckus by reaching the post office. Seeing the anger of the villagers, Kamedidevi Chowki Police informed this to Police Station Head Kanda. After receiving the information, Police Station Head Khushwant Singh and Tehsildar Ritu Goswami reached the spot. He somehow calmed down the matter by convincing the villagers.
The villagers alleged that the postmaster had embezzled the money deposited by them and the postmaster was not coming to office for three days.
Here, after getting information about the incident, Postal Inspector Anil Vyas reached the spot. He claimed to have secured the villagers' money and said that the matter would be investigated.
