Supriya Shrineth had contested the last 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Maharajganj in Uttar Pradesh, but lost to BJP's Pankaj Chaudhary. Congress released the eighth list

After this controversy, the Election Commission had issued a show cause notice to Supriya Srineth on her objectionable post. This is the reason why Congress has fielded Virendra Choudhary from Maharajganj seat in his place. Congress on Wednesday announced its eighth list for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The names of 14 candidates were announced in the list for four states – Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana and Jharkhand. The party has announced a total of 208 candidates so far.
