Kanpur, 11 April (HS). The weather of Uttar Pradesh changed once again due to the influence of western disturbance. While there was light rain along with a strong storm on Wednesday, movement of clouds was seen in the sky on Thursday. The Meteorological Department says that there is a possibility of rain and hailstorm with strong storm in the coming days. Along with this, there are also chances of lightning and thunderbolt.
Dr. SN Sunil Pandey, meteorologist of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agricultural Technology, said on Thursday that the western disturbance is 3.1 km above the mean sea level over Afghanistan and adjacent northern Pakistan. A low pressure line is formed in the mid-tropospheric westerly winds and its axis is about 5.8 km above mean sea level with longitude. It continues till north of 71° East and 30° North latitude. An area of cyclonic winds has formed over south-eastern Rajasthan. A trough/dissection from the cyclonic circulation is extending from southeast Rajasthan up to 1.5 km above sea level up to coastal parts of Karnataka through Central Maharashtra and South Konkan. A trough is extending from southeast Rajasthan to northeast Bangladesh through Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and sub-Himalayan West Bengal at lower levels. An active western disturbance is likely to affect northwest India from April 12.
He said that the maximum temperature in Kanpur was recorded at 39.0 and the minimum temperature was 19.5 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity in the morning was 52 percent and the relative humidity in the afternoon was 26 percent. The average speed of winds was 6.7 km per hour. According to the weather forecast, due to moderate to dense clouds in Kanpur in the next five days, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain along with thunderstorms, dust storms, strong winds at local level.
Be careful on 13th and 14th April
The meteorologist said that it is forecast that on April 13-14, there is a strong possibility of thunderstorm, storm, hailstorm, drizzle at some places and light to moderate rain at some places in many parts of the state. An active Western Disturbance in the troposphere is very likely to affect the weather of Northwest India from April 12 and Uttar Pradesh from April 13. People are advised to exercise some caution on 13th and 14th April. Farmers are advised to complete the harvesting and threshing work of their crops in the next two days and deliver their grains safely to their warehouses or homes so that there is no damage to the grains.
