Possibility of light rain in western areas of Uttar Pradesh, temperature reaches 37 degrees in Kanpur

Kanpur, 02 April (HS). The weather patterns of Uttar Pradesh are constantly changing these days. While on Monday people were troubled by the scorching sun, on Tuesday clouds covered the sky. Along with this, the blowing of westerly winds also provided some relief from the heat. However, the maximum temperature in Kanpur crossed 37 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department says that the weather will remain like this for two days and there is a possibility of light rain with thunder in the western areas of Uttar Pradesh for the next two days. Whereas the weather will remain dry in central and eastern Uttar Pradesh.

Meteorologist Dr. SN Sunil Pandey of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agricultural Technology said on Tuesday that there is a trough/dissection from southern Tamil Nadu to south-east Madhya Pradesh via interior Karnataka and Vidarbha. The cyclonic circulation over Northeast Bihar is now situated over northern parts of Bangladesh. A cyclonic circulation is lying over Northeast Assam at lower levels. The Western Disturbance is seen as a trough in the middle and upper tropospheric westerlies, with its axis at 5.8 km above sea level and running north of 30°N latitude along about 60°E longitude. Due to this, a change was seen in the weather of Uttar Pradesh today and the movement of clouds remained in the sky.

He said that there is a possibility of light rain in western Uttar Pradesh on April 4 and 5 and the speed of winds will be high along with thunder. However, after five, the weather will clear in entire Uttar Pradesh and the temperature will increase rapidly.

He said that the maximum temperature in Kanpur was recorded at 37.2 and the minimum temperature was 18.8 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity in the morning was 52 percent and the relative humidity in the afternoon was 23 percent. The direction of the winds was north-west with an average speed of 8.6 km per hour. According to the weather forecast, there are chances of light to moderate clouds in the next five days but there is no possibility of rain. Wind speed will be above average. The weather will remain pleasant in the morning and evening for the next two days.
