Possibility of light rain in eastern and central regions of Uttar Pradesh

Kanpur, June 21 (HS). Monsoon will soon become active in Uttar Pradesh and bring heavy rains, although it may take four to five days. The Meteorological Department says that there is a possibility of light rain locally in the eastern and central regions of Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, heat wave will continue in western Uttar Pradesh. During this time, the temperature will decrease due to the blowing of eastern winds.

Dr. S N Sunil Pandey, Meteorologist of Chandrashekhar Azad Agricultural Technology University, said on Friday that during the next 24 hours, light to moderate rains with heavy rains may occur at some places in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Telangana, South Odisha, Konkan and Goa, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Light to moderate rain is possible in Madhya Maharashtra, northern coast of Andhra Pradesh, South Gujarat, northern Chhattisgarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, eastern Rajasthan, Lakshadweep and Northeast India. Heat wave to severe heat wave conditions are possible in western Uttar Pradesh. On the other hand, light rain in eastern and central Uttar Pradesh will cause a drop in temperature. When the monsoon becomes fully active, a change in the weather of Uttar Pradesh will be seen after about four to five days.

He said that the maximum temperature in Kanpur was recorded at 40.0 and the minimum temperature at 26.6 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity in the morning was 67 and the relative humidity in the afternoon was 36 percent. The wind direction was north-east with an average speed of 6.9 km per hour. According to the weather forecast, there are chances of strong winds (dust storm) and thunderstorms along with local rain in Kanpur due to light clouds in the next five days. Along with this, the day and night temperatures are expected to be above normal.
