During the last session in America, there was enthusiastic trading on Wall Street amid the presidential elections. Dow Johns Futures also seems to be trading rapidly today. European markets closed with mixed results during the last session. Mixed trading is taking place in Asian markets also today.
Amidst the hustle and bustle of the presidential elections in America, there was a continuously positive atmosphere on Wall Street. The S&P 500 index closed at 5,782.76 points with a gain of 1.23 percent. Similarly, Nasdaq jumped 258.64 points or 1.42 percent and ended the last session's trading at the level of 18,438.62 points. At the same time, Dow Johns Futures is currently seen trading at the level of 42,750.57 points with an increase of 528.29 points or 1.25 percent.
European markets remained generally strong during the last session. However, due to selling at the end of trading, European market indices closed with mixed results. The FTSE index closed at 8,172.39 points with a weakness of 0.15 percent. In contrast, the CAC index ended the previous session's trading at 7,407.15 points with a rise of 0.48 percent. Similarly, DAX index closed at the level of 19,256.27 points with a gain of 108.42 points or 0.56 percent.
Mixed trading is taking place in Asian markets also today. Out of 9 markets in Asia, the indices of 5 are trading in the green mark with gains, while 4 indices remain in the red mark with a decline. The Hang Seng Index has fallen to 20,531.26 points with a huge fall of 475.71 points or 2.26 percent. Similarly, Kospi index fell by 1.15 percent and reached the level of 2,547.33 points. Apart from this, Set Composite Index is trading at the level of 1,479.88 points with a weakness of 0.12 percent and Jakarta Composite Index is trading at the level of 7,488.76 points with a slight decline of 0.04 percent.
On the other hand, GIFT Nifty is trading at the level of 24,430 points with a gain of 160.50 points or 0.66 percent. Similarly, Taiwan Weighted Index has jumped by 250.91 points or 1.09 percent and has reached the level of 23,357.70 points. Nikkei index has made a huge jump today. At present this index is trading at the level of 39,458.44 points with an increase of 983.54 points or 2.56 percent. Apart from this, the Straits Times Index is trading at the level of 3,583.83 points with a gain of 0.06 percent and the Shanghai Composite Index is trading at the level of 3,392.36 points with a gain of 0.16 percent.
