Registration for PM Internship Scheme, one of the ambitious schemes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has started today i.e. Saturday, October 12 from 5 pm. This year, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had announced the internship scheme while presenting the Union Budget 2024-25. However, many people have some confusion about this. It was announced in the budget

Internship scheme for youth was announced in the Union Budget 2024-25. Under this scheme, one crore youth will benefit in a period of 5 years. Youth will be given internship facility in top-500 companies. Here they will be given internship allowance of Rs 5000 every month. The selected youth will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 4500 from the government, while an additional Rs 500 will be given by the companies.

Candidates have to fulfill certain rules for this scheme. What documents will be required?

First of all you will need Aadhar card. Along with this, you will also need all your educational certificates. You may also be asked for a current passport size photograph. For some requirements you may also have to submit a self-declaration form.

Who will get the benefit of this scheme?

The age of the youth should be between 21 years to 24 years. It is also important that he does not do a full time job. If any person in the candidate's family is a government employee then he/she will also not be eligible for this scheme. Not only this, youth studying from prestigious institutes like IIT, IIM will also not be eligible for this scheme.

1 crore youth will get internship

Under this scheme, internship opportunities will be provided to 1 crore youth. The internship program will be launched in two phases, aiming to train 1 crore youth over a period of five years.

Registration will take place from 12th to 25th October

Registration for the internship will be open from October 12 to October 25, 2024. Selected candidates will be informed between 27 October and 7 November 2024 and companies will issue offers between 8 November and 15 November. The first batch of interns is expected to start on 2 December 2024. The internship will last for 12 months. It is estimated that Rs 800 crore will be spent on this scheme.
