Polling stations of the state will be seen in a unique style in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections

Ranchi, March 1 (HS). In the Lok Sabha elections, all the booths of Jharkhand are being made theme based polling centers by the Commission. Preparations for this have been started. Jharkhand will be the first state in the country, where all the polling stations will appear in a special style during the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. To celebrate this great festival of democracy in a special way, the Election Commission has decided to convert all 29521 polling stations of the state into model booths.

Generally, at the time of elections, some selected polling stations at the district level are made model booths. Earlier it was decorated attractively along with basic facilities, but this time the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer has made preparations to make all the polling centers theme based model polling centres.

As soon as they reach the theme based polling station, voters will get a glimpse of the local tourist places of the district. Preparations have been started to set up theme based booths at the district level, away from religious and caste issues. In this regard, the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer has been informed to all the districts. A long list has been received.

Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar said that the theme based polling center will be unique, where at some polling center you will see all the young election workers and at some other all the women polling party. Similarly, many polling stations will also be seen where all the polling parties will be from the disabled category who will participate in this great festival of democracy. Basic facilities will be provided at all polling stations, for which funds will be provided to BLOs.

Here, this initiative of the Election Commission has been appreciated by the local voters. With this, people will come out of their homes without any hesitation and cast their votes. However, the Election Commission has kept the theme of Lok Sabha elections 2024 as the festival of elections, pride of the country, under which preparations are being completed. In such a situation, such an initiative to celebrate the festival of democracy in a pleasant atmosphere by removing the problems related to common things at the polling booth will actually attract the common voters towards voting.
