Polling parties left for voting

Prayagraj, May 24 (HS). A total of 38,92,773 voters will exercise their franchise in Prayagraj for the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections to be held on May 25. Departure of polling parties started today for conducting the voting. Police force also started leaving from the police line.

On Friday, workers were sent to polling booths of ten Vidhan Sabhas for both the Phulpur and Allahabad Lok Sabha seats of Prayagraj. 858 polling booths have been set up in Phulpur and 934 polling booths for the Allahabad Lok Sabha seat. The total number of voters in Phulpur is 20,67,043. Of these, 11,22,020 are men and 9,44,827 are women and 196 are third gender. Similarly, there are 18,25,730 voters from Allahabad. Of these, 9,88,343 are men and 8,37,149 are women and 1813 are third gender voters.

Preparations were completed late last night at Parade Ground, KP Inter College, MNNIT, Northern Regional Institute of Printing and Technology centers. They were dispatched on Friday.

It is worth mentioning that EVMs will be deposited in Mundera Mandi from Saturday evening. Therefore, movement of all types of vehicles will be restricted around Mundera Mandi Committee.
