The BJP-led NDA is going to have a meeting today. The meeting will be attended by all the NDA MPs who will formally elect Narendra Modi as the leader of their alliance. The results of the Lok Sabha elections have come out and this time too the NDA has got a majority. This time they have won 293 seats. However, BJP has not got a majority.
After Narendra Modi was elected the leader of the NDA parliamentary party, senior alliance members like TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu and Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar are scheduled to meet President Draupadi Murmu. Meanwhile, a list of supporting MPs will be submitted to the President.
But before the meeting, allies TDP and JDU are demanding posts. TDP has demanded four posts while Nitish Kumar's party JDU has demanded three posts. In such a situation, if BJP has to come to power again and make Narendra Modi the Prime Minister, then the allies will have to be happy. There is suspense over the demands. Recently, a discussion was held in the meeting in which Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh and JP Nadda were given the responsibility to talk to the allies and discuss the issues on which the matter is stuck.
Let us tell you that TDP has demanded the post of Lok Sabha Speaker. Apart from this, 3 more posts have been demanded in the central ministry. Recently, there was talk of 6 posts. The ministry is demanding 2 posts from JDU. Nitish Kumar's party is now demanding 3 posts. JDU has the post of Deputy Chairman in Rajya Sabha and if BJP does not accept the demand of the allies, then Narendra Modi may get a big shock.
