New Delhi: The BJP high command has taken a shocking decision regarding Haryana. Manohar Lal Khattar has been suddenly removed from the post of Chief Minister. State President Nayab Saini has been made the Chief Minister. The alliance of BJP and JJP has broken in Haryana. And now BJP is running the government with the support of independents. Lok Sabha elections can be announced any time after which assembly elections will be held in Haryana. In such a situation, BJP has suddenly changed the Chief Minister to avoid the anti-incumbency wave. Since the new Chief Minister Nayab Saini is an OBC, it is discussed that this decision has also been taken to attract OBC voters.
BJP's ally JJP did not get the seats it had asked for in the Lok Sabha elections, due to which it withdrew its support and the alliance broke. Along with this, JJP President Ajay Chautala also resigned from the government. Out of total 90 seats in Haryana, BJP has 41 seats, Chautala's JJP has 10 seats. 46 seats are needed for majority, however Chautala has withdrawn support. However, the BJP government is alive with the support of six independent MLAs. Assembly elections are going to be held in the month of October. Keeping this situation in mind, like Gujarat and Uttarakhand, the Chief Minister has been suddenly changed in Haryana too. Vijay Rupani was thrown out of Gujarat and Tirath Singh from Uttarakhand.
Due to farmers movement, arrest of Ram Rahim, movement of Jats etc. an anti-incumbency wave arose against the Khattar government. Due to which there is a fear of loss in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections to be held in October. In view of this situation, the post of Chief Minister has been taken away from Khattar. Just a day before, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had praised Manohar Lal Khattar and called him a good Chief Minister. The very next day the high command removed him and made Saini the Chief Minister. Naib Saini is an OBC leader. Whereas Manoharlal Khattar has come into the Jat community. There are 27 percent Jat voters in Haryana, who are divided between Congress, JJP and INLD. In such a situation, even if Jat voters get divided into three parts, BJP has made an OBC face the Chief Minister with the hope that OBC voters will benefit. On Tuesday, 13 cabinet ministers including Manohar Lal Khattar resigned. After which Naib Saini took oath along with other MLAs. Along with this, changes have also been made in the Haryana Government Cabinet.
