Gorakhpur, 14 August (HS). On the eve of Independence Day, the policemen of Gorakhpur's Gorakhnath police station took out a Tiranga Pad Yatra. A large number of policemen participated in the Tiranga Yatra. All the policemen had the tricolor flag in their hands and were seen engrossed in patriotic songs. They also gave the message of patriotism to the people.
On the occasion of Independence Day, the flag is being hoisted in all homes, government, non-government and private establishments in Gorakhpur between August 13 and 15. The Gorakhnath police also gave the message of patriotism by taking out a Tiranga Yatra on foot. The Tiranga Yatra was taken out on foot from Gorakhnath police station under the leadership of Area Officer Gorakhnath Yogendra Singh, which passed through Gorakhnath Road, Nathmalpur, Boring Number 10, Kaudiyahwa Mod, then Gorakhnath Temple Premises and ended at Gorakhnath Police Station.
During the Tiranga Yatra, Inspector Gorakhnath Jitendra Singh gave the tricolor flag to shopkeepers, women and children. Patriotic songs were playing in the Gorakhnath area, people were also seen greeting the police on the streets.
