Special Cell of Delhi Police killed Rocky alias Raghav, the main accused in constable Kiranpal murder case, in an encounter in Okhla area late on Saturday night. Police have recovered .32 bore pistol and two cartridges from him. In this case, the police have already caught two accused Krish and Deepak, Deepak was caught by the crime branch after the encounter, while the other criminal Krish was caught by the local police. The third accused Rocky was absconding and was killed by the police late in the night.
Since the murder of the constable, different teams of Delhi Police were searching for the three miscreants. Two of them were caught but the third criminal who stabbed the constable is absconding. The Special Cell team involved in the investigation came to know late on Saturday night that the third criminal is Raghav alias Rocky, a resident of D Block of Sangam Vihar.
After this, at midnight the police team reached his house to arrest him. Meanwhile, the accused was directed to surrender but he fired at the police team from very close range. In self-defense, the police retaliated and opened fire, killing Rocky.
Police said that when both the accused were arrested and interrogated, they gave information about Rocky. It was also said that it was he who attacked constable Kiranpal. Since then the police was searching for Rocky. 28-year-old Kiranpal, resident of village Sihali Nagar, was recruited as a constable in Delhi Police in 2018. Kiranpal died while on duty on Saturday morning.
Delhi Police constable Kiranpal, resident of Sihalinagar village of Ahar police station area of Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh, was cremated with military honors at Avantika Devi Ganga Ghat. Along with top officials of Delhi Police, hundreds of people of the area paid tribute to him.
