Police will take Avnish Dixit on 10-day remand, many secrets may be revealed | News India

Kanpur, August 13 (HS). The court has allowed the police to take 10-day remand of Avnish Dixit, who was jailed in the Rs 1,000 crore land case, for interrogation and gathering evidence.

Deputy Commissioner of Police East Shravan Kumar Singh said that police teams are investigating the case registered in Kotwali police station. On Tuesday, Kotwali police presented Avnish under tight security before the Chief Judicial Magistrate. Where the advocates of both the sides argued. However, after the hearing, the Chief Judicial Magistrate has given permission to the police to take Avnish on remand from August 14 to August 24.

After taking Avnish Dixit, who has been sent to jail, on remand, the police will collect evidence for interrogation related to other cases including illegal occupation of land. Many cases may be revealed during interrogation.
