Police took Akali candidate into custody in Machaki Khurd village, Bunty Romana made allegations of assault.

Faridkot: Police have arrested a candidate supporting Akali Dal Badal (Shiromani Akali Dal) in Machaki Khurd village of Faridkot district. Akali leader Parambans Singh Romana has raised questions. He says that candidate Maninder Singh was beaten up, a case has been registered against him at the behest of MLA Gurdit Singh Sekhon.

Parambir Singh Bunty Romana said that the ruling party has taken action to put pressure on the voters. District Police Chief Dr. Pragya Jain said that the incident is being investigated. Voting work is going on peacefully in villages like Vardaraka, Khara, Thade, Mor, Harino etc. of Kotkapura assembly constituency. There is complete peace and no incident of fighting has been seen or heard from anywhere.
