Police organized anti-drug awareness program, distributed school bag kits to students

Samba, May 30 (HS). Police on Thursday organized anti-drug awareness programme under CAP at Government Polytechnic College Penthi, Samba in which a large number of students and teachers participated.

The programme was presided over by DSP HQ Samba in which SHO PS Samba and Incharge Police Post CIDCO Samba were also present. Students of Polytechnic College Penthi participated in it with great enthusiasm.

Speaking on the occasion, DSP Headquarters Samba urged the students to channelize their energy in the right direction and take keen interest in studies besides participating in recreational activities. He asked the students to stay away from drug abuse and support the police in the fight to eradicate the evil of drug abuse from the society.

At the conclusion of the programme DSP HQ Samba distributed school bag kits containing stationery items and lunch boxes among ten participating students. Head of the Department of Civil Engineering thanked the police on behalf of Government Polytechnic College for organizing such anti-drug awareness programme to create awareness among students.
