Purnia, 22 October (HIST). Policeman Divya Prakash of 112 Tiger Mobile in Madhubani police station area has been seriously accused of misbehaving with the general public and representatives. Local social workers have submitted a complaint letter to the Superintendent of Police.
According to the complaint, illegal transportation of cattle in two trucks (WBS384 and BRIIGC 5531) was reported last night. After being chased by the workers, a truck reached RKK College near Gulabbagh Zero Mile.
It is alleged that policeman Divya Prakash, who reached the spot, not only misbehaved with the workers but also threatened them. He reportedly said that he is not afraid of anyone from the police station, SP, DM. The situation worsened when Gulabbagh workers were assaulted.
The situation was controlled after informing the SP. The activists have demanded legal action from the Superintendent of Police against Divya Prakash and other people involved. The complaint letter is signed by 18 social workers including Arun Rai, Bunty Yadav, Rajeev Ranjan, Ravi Gupta. This complaint has been lodged in Madhubani police station on 22 October.
