Police caught two youths carrying Rs 2 crore 27 lakh in car

Kawardha/Raipur, October 11 (HS). Chilfi police today detained two youths who were carrying money worth crores from a car in Kawardha. According to the information, both the youths took away an amount of more than Rs. 2 crore 27 lakhs from the car. They were going from Mandla in Madhya Pradesh to Raipur. On the information of the informer, the police arrested both the youths by setting up a blockade.

Police caught all three during checking on Raipur Jabalpur National Highway near Chilfi in Kawardha. Police said that the police keeps checking the Chilfi valley continuously. Such checking increases during the festive season. The police have detained both the youths and are interrogating them. A machine has also been called to count the cash.

Additional Superintendent of Police of Kawardha (Kabirdham) Pushpendra Baghel has said that on the information of the informer, Chilfi police stopped the car on the highway in Chilfi valley and investigated. Rs 2 crore 27 lakh 50 thousand have been recovered from the car. The people traveling in the car did not have any documents for the amount. After this, we handed over the car and the seized amount to the Income Tax Department.
