Kolkata RG Kar Hospital Rape Case: The Kolkata High Court has reprimanded the Mamata government in the case of vandalism in RG Kar Hospital. The Calcutta High Court has handed over the investigation of the vandalism in the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital premises of Kolkata to the CBI. Meanwhile, the High Court said that this incident is a failure of law and order. The hospital was vandalized on the night of 14 August.

The Mamata Banerjee government has suffered a major setback as the case of vandalism at RG Kar Hospital has been handed over to the CBI. The High Court has handed over the investigation of the rape and murder of a trainee junior female doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital to the CBI. It is worth noting that people are angry after the brutal murder of the female doctor. The Kolkata Police was investigating the case. Which has now been handed over to the CBI.

During the hearing on Friday, the High Court strongly reprimanded the Mamata Banerjee government. The High Court said that we will close the hospital. We will shift all the people. Close the hostel. How many patients are there?

The High Court also took a stand against the state police. The court said that when the police cannot protect itself, then how can a doctor work fearlessly? The bench headed by Chief Justice TS Sivagnanam said that the police cannot protect their own people, this is a very bad situation, in such a situation how can a doctor work fearlessly?

In fact, according to reports, the High Court has taken suo motu cognizance of the RG Kar Hospital vandalism case and has focused more on the matter as the court has received several emails regarding the vandalism and mob attacks at the hospital.

Mamata Sarkar replied to the bench headed by the Chief Justice that, '…there was a crowd of about 7,000 people. Suddenly the crowd increased…I have the video.' They broke the barricades… tear gas shells were fired and 15 policemen were injured. The Deputy Commissioner was injured. Police vehicles were damaged. The emergency room was vandalised but the crime scene was safe.
