Police can call Rahul Gandhi for questioning, statements will be taken for injured MPs

And complaint filed under 351 (criminal intimidation). Based on BJP’s complaint, Delhi Police has registered an FIR.

A day after a case was registered against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in connection with the brawl in the Parliament complex, police are likely to record the statements of the two injured MPs on Friday and call the opposition leader for questioning, according to sources. He said that Delhi Police can also write a letter to the Parliament Secretariat demanding CCTV footage of the area where the alleged incident took place. Senior police officers may also consider transferring the case from the local police to the crime branch.

Congress lodged a complaint

Congress has also lodged a complaint in the police station accusing party president Mallikarju Kharge of indecency in the Parliament complex. Congress MP Pramod Tiwari said, ‘The way a Dalit leader was insulted yesterday and pushed today, it is all a conspiracy.’ Rahul Gandhi’s sister from Congress and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra attacked BJP and said that the FIR of the BJP leader is false.

Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh alleged that, ‘Delhi Police will do whatever the Home Minister says. All Dr. Ambedkar had talked about apologizing, but all this plan has been made to divert attention from the incident. This FIR is not against Rahul Gandhi or the doctor. It is in front of Ambedkar.
