Police busted mini gun factory and recovered huge quantity of weapons and bullets


Saharsa, April 11 (Hindustan Reporter) A huge success has been achieved due to the activeness of the district police before the Lok Sabha elections.

In the police action, an illegal mini gun factory along with gun making machine, semi-finished illegal weapons and a huge quantity of bullets were recovered. Three people including the operator, father and son were arrested. In this regard, Superintendent of Police Himanshu Kumar held a press conference on Thursday and informed the media persons.

He said that at around 01:00 am on Thursday morning, secret information was received that an illegal mini gun was being operated in the house of village Lakshmaniya Niazi Mahdoom Alam under Banma Itahari police station area. On the above information, as per the instructions of the Superintendent of Police, under the leadership of Sub-Divisional Police Officer Simri Bakhtiyarpur, taking immediate action on the basis of human, scientific and technical information, a raid was conducted at the house of Mehboob Alam of Kalimuddin, Lakshminiyan, Police Station Banma, Itahari District, Saharsa. From where 11 illegal country-made firearms and 152 live cartridges and other illegal materials and equipment used in manufacturing and repairing weapons were recovered. The Superintendent of Police encouraged all the police officers included in the team by announcing rewards for their good work.
