Katihar, 26 August (HS). The Barari police station of the district on Monday arrested notorious criminals Ashok Choudhary and Manish Kumar, son of Bitan Choudhary of Kadhagola Diyara with a rifle, a double barrel gun and forty live cartridges and sent them to judicial custody.
In this regard, Superintendent of Police Jitendra Kumar said that on Sunday night, the Barari police station chief received a secret information that Ashok Choudhary, son of Bitan Choudhary, a resident of Tali Chhata, Barari, kept illegal weapons and bullets in his house.
Considering the seriousness of the above information, as per the instructions of the Superintendent of Police, a raiding team has been formed under the leadership of the Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Officer. And the said accused has been arrested and sent to judicial custody.
During interrogation, the arrested accused told that he keeps arms and bullets with the aim of capturing the land and crops of the farmers of Diyara area and spreading terror. The accused has previously gone to jail in a murder case as well.
