Jaunpur, July 17 (HS). On Wednesday, the police arrested the accused of kidnapping a minor girl near Sewainala Bazaar in Zafarabad police station area.
A young man lured a teenage girl resident of Kadipur village in the area and trapped her in his net. After that, the young man kidnapped the girl on May 7. As soon as the daughter went missing, there was panic in the family. After a lot of searching, the girl was not found. Then the family gave a written complaint to the police, expressing suspicion on a relative of a village person. In the complaint, Arjun Gupta, son of Vinod Gupta, resident of Thuni, Chandwak police station, was made the accused. The police registered a case against the accused under Section 366. The police started investigating the incident.
A week after the incident, Arjun Gautam brought the girl and left her outside her village. The family brought the girl to the police station and told the whole incident. Since then, the police were trying to arrest the accused. On Wednesday, station in-charge Jaiprakash Yadav, on the information received from the informer, reached the said place with SI Sanjay Kumar and his companions and arrested the accused Arjun Gautam.
