News India Live, Digital Desk: An incident that puts humanity to shame has taken place in Thathaitangar police station area of ​​Simdega district of Jharkhand. Here, two minor cousins ​​who were returning after seeing the fair were abducted by five youths and took them to a deserted area and gang-raped them. This incident has created an atmosphere of anger and fear in the entire area.

Sequence of Events

According to police report and family members:

Return from the fair: The two sisters (whose age is said to be 14 and 15 years) were returning home in the evening from a fair held near the village.

Circle on the way: Five youths sitting in ambush stopped them on the way. When they protested, the accused beat them up, intimidated them and took them to the nearby forest/bushes.

Savagery: The accused kept both the sisters hostage throughout the night and raped them one by one.

Release and Information: The next morning the accused released them after threatening to kill them if they told anyone. On reaching home, the girls narrated their ordeal, after which the family reached the police station.

Police Action

Considering the seriousness of the matter, a special team was formed on the instructions of Simdega Superintendent of Police (SP):

FIR lodged: Police registered a case under POCSO Act and relevant sections of gang rape.

Arrest of the accused: During the raid the police three main accused Has been arrested, while the search for others is going on.

Medical Examination: Both the victims have been sent to Sadar Hospital for medical examination and their safety has been ensured.

Tension and security in the area

There is huge anger among the local villagers after this incident. People have demanded strictest punishment against the accused and trial in fast track court. Police have deployed additional forces to maintain peace in the village.
