Baba Siddiqui Murder Case: Mumbai Police has got a big success in the high profile Baba Siddiqui murder case, they have arrested five more people in this case. According to news agency PTI, with the arrest of five more people on Friday, the total number of people arrested in the sensational case has reached nine.
A Mumbai Police official told the agency that based on specific information, the crime branch conducted raids in Panvel and Karjat in neighboring Raigad district. After this, these five people were arrested on charges of conspiracy related to crime.
The accused were in contact with Lawrence gang
The officer said those arrested were also in touch with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which is accused of shooting Siddiqui. He said, 'The total number of arrests in this case has now reached nine. Further investigation is underway.
The murder took place on October 12
It is noteworthy that on October 12, Baba Siddiqui was shot and seriously injured near the office of his MLA son Zeeshan Siddiqui in Nirmal Nagar of Bandra area of Mumbai. The leader, who joined NCP from Congress, died after some time in the nearby Lilavati Hospital. The four people arrested earlier included two alleged shooters, who were subdued at the scene by police and bystanders.
Police is investigating from many angles because

After his murder, a Facebook post also went viral, in which a member of the gang took responsibility for the murder and it is being linked to the death threats being given to Salman Khan. However, the police is investigating this murder from different angles. Which includes contract killing, business competition etc.
According to the information given by the police, the plan to murder Baba Siddiqui was being prepared for several months and the shooter was living in Mumbai for a long time. The shooters had taken a house on rent in Kurla area of Mumbai. On the day of the incident, the accused took advantage of the Dussehra rally and opened fire on them in a crowded area. Meanwhile, two accused were caught by the police.
