Koderma, 22 October (Hindustan Reporter). Crores of rupees are reported to have been recovered in a raid at the house of a hotelier in Vrinda village of Lariyadih Panchayat under Koderma police station area of Koderma district of Jharkhand. Koderma police is raiding Sukhdev Rajak's house since 2 o'clock last night. The Income Tax team also reached the spot on Tuesday morning with two black bags.
According to the information, apart from crores of rupees in cash, gold and drugs were also recovered in the raid. It is said that Sukhdev Rajak operates a hotel in Barhi of Hazaribagh district. Apart from this, he is also associated with illegal activities. Koderma SDPO Anil Kumar Singh himself is present at the spot along with a large number of police forces. Counting machine has also been called to count the recovered cash. Apart from this, four people of Income Tax Department have also reached there with two black bags.
Village sources said that Sukhdev Rajak is 40 years old and had recently started a business in Jaunpur, UP. More than Rs 70 lakh has been recovered so far in the raid and the counting is still going on. Besides, it is also coming to light that huge quantity of gold and some opium pouches have been found. Koderma police has surrounded the house.
Here, as soon as the information about the raid was received, the landlord Sukhdev Rajak has absconded, for whose arrest the police are continuously conducting raids.
