Greater Noida, 24 September. Preparations are being finalized by the district administration and police administration with the aim of conducting the UP International Trade Show-2026, to be held from 25 to 29 September 2026 at India Expo Center and Mart, Greater Noida, in a safe, secure and well-organized manner.
In this sequence, District Magistrate Medha Rupam conducted an on-site inspection of the venue on Thursday and took stock of various arrangements and preparations. During the inspection, he received information from the concerned officials about the preparations made so far and gave instructions to complete the remaining arrangements in time. After the on-site inspection, a detailed review of the preparations was conducted by the Police Commissioner and the District Magistrate in a joint meeting with the concerned officials in the auditorium of Expo Mart Greater Noida. In the meeting, everything from security and law and order to traffic, parking, fire safety, electricity supply, health services, food safety, cleanliness, drinking water and arrangements related to VVIP arrival were discussed department-wise.
While reviewing the security arrangements, Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh directed the concerned police officers to ensure adequate security arrangements in and around the venue of the event, keeping in view the importance of the event and the arrival of VVIPs. Effective security arrangements should be made at the entry and exit points, adequate police force should be deployed and suspicious activities should be continuously monitored. While reviewing the VVIP movement and traffic arrangements, he instructed the concerned officials to ensure strict compliance with the security protocols during VVIP movement. Traffic arrangements should be maintained smoothly on the designated routes and barricading, traffic diversion and deployment of police forces should be ensured as per requirement.
The Police Commissioner also gave necessary guidelines regarding parking arrangements and easy movement of visitors to the venue of the event. He said that orderly operation of vehicles should be ensured at the designated parking places and unnecessary jam or chaos should not arise at any place. Effective deployment of police and traffic personnel should be ensured at important places including the entry and exit routes of the venue. He directed all the security related officers to work in mutual coordination and continuously monitor the security arrangements and to be fully alert and prepared to deal with any emergency.
While reviewing the preparations of the district administration and related departments department wise, the District Magistrate directed the officers to ensure that the responsibilities assigned to them are discharged in a timely manner, seriously and with mutual coordination. There should be no laxity in any arrangement related to the event and all preparations should be completed within the stipulated time.
Reviewing the fire safety arrangements, the District Magistrate directed the Fire Department officials to ensure checking of all necessary fire fighting equipment and arrangements at the venue and to maintain necessary preparations to deal with the emergency situation. While reviewing the food safety system, instructions were given to the concerned officials to keep a special watch on the quality and cleanliness of the food and beverages provided during the event and to ensure that the food items are checked as per the requirement.
While reviewing the electricity system, the District Magistrate directed the concerned officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply as well as to maintain the necessary alternative and backup arrangements, so that there is no disruption related to power supply during the event.
While reviewing the administrative arrangements related to the helipad and VVIP arrival, the District Magistrate directed the concerned officers to complete all the necessary preparations in time as per the prescribed standards and ensure re-examination of the related arrangements. Along with this, the District Magistrate also reviewed the health and medical arrangements, availability of ambulance, cleanliness, drinking water, toilets, lighting and basic facilities required for the visitors. He directed the concerned departments to ensure continuous monitoring of the arrangements by keeping officers and employees present at their designated places during the event.
The District Magistrate said that the UP International Trade Show is an important international event, in which a large number of entrepreneurs, buyers, investors, representatives and visitors from India and abroad will participate. In such a situation, every department should take its responsibility seriously and establish better mutual coordination and ensure that visitors and guests do not face any kind of inconvenience. While instructing all the concerned officers to re-inspect and test the arrangements related to their respective departments at the last level, he said that if any deficiency is found, it should be resolved immediately. All officers should discharge their assigned responsibilities with full vigilance during the event, so that the UP International Trade Show-2026 can be conducted safely, well-organized and successfully.
