Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has directed the police to launch a 2-month special operation to identify illegal Bangladeshis and take action against them.
According to sources, Yamuna Bazaar has slums around Iron Bridge, Bawana, Jahangirpuri, Seemapuri, Aligaon, Daya Basti, Sarai Rohilla, Yamuna Pusta, Shashi Garden, Sonia Camp, Sanjay Basti, Sonia Vihar, Shakarpur, Keshavpuram, Seemapuri. A large number of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis live in Railway Line, Vikaspuri, Najafgarh, Bhalwa Dairy JJ Colony, Prem Nagar, Keshav Puram, Kalindi Kunj, Shram Vihar areas.
