A case of poisonous gas leakage came to light in a pharma company in Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City in Anakapalle district of Andhra Pradesh on Monday morning. In this incident, two people were affected by the leakage of H2S (hydrogen sulphide) gas, who have been admitted to the hospital.

- According to media reports, the condition of one of the two affected persons is said to be critical.
- Superintendent of Police Tuhin Sinha said that the incident took place in the production unit, where both the assistants became unconscious as the gas leaked.
How did the gas leak happen?
Police say the gas leak occurred while transferring chemicals to a scrubber that deals with harmful gases.
- Both victims were taken to the hospital immediately after the accident.
- Police said that the matter is also being investigated from the criminal angle.

Meanwhile, an incident of fire has come to light in a jewelery showroom in Palakonda city of Andhra Pradesh.
- Location: Karthikeya Jewelery Showroom located at Parvatipuram Manyam.
- Reason: Short circuit is said to be the cause of the fire.
- Gold and silver jewelery and furniture were burnt to ashes in the fire.
- Fire brigade: The fire which broke out at midnight was quickly brought under control.
Officials say the damage is being assessed.
