Shivpuri, 9 November (HS). PM Janman program was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from 15 November 2023 on the occasion of Birsa Munda Jayanti for the upliftment of the most backward tribes of the country. The Janman program is nearing completion of one year. Remarkable work has been done under PM Janman Yojana in Shivpuri district. By completing the first house in the country and 1000 houses in Shivpuri district, it has achieved the first position in the entire state and the country and the work of PM Janman Yojana is going on continuously. Now Pohari district has completed one thousand PM Janman Awas. It is the eighth district of the state and the second district of the district to do so.
In the PM Janman programme, an effort is made to bring the most backward tribes of the country, including the beneficiaries of Sahariya tribe of Shivpuri, into the mainstream of development. The excellence shown by Shivpuri district in PM Janman under the direction of Collector Ravindra Kumar Chaudhary is truly an example. At present, houses have been sanctioned for a total of 36620 Sahariya beneficiaries in Shivpuri district and 7064 houses have been completed. Shivpuri district is first in the country and state in housing completeness.
Shivpuri CEO District Panchayat Himanshu Jain is continuously monitoring PM Janman Awas and more and more residential colonies are being developed. Presently 14 colonies are under construction in Shivpuri district. Apart from housing, facilities like roads, water, electricity, Chaupal, street light, community hall etc. will also be provided in these colonies on the lines of cities. According to Pohri District CEO Girraj Sharma, a target has been set to build the maximum number of houses in the country in Pohri District by the end of December. For this, work is being done continuously as per the instructions of senior officials.
