POCSO crime accused in Halol swallowed poison in court premises, condition critical

Panchmahal: The accused, who had come to serve his sentence in the special POCSO court located on Pavagadh Road outside Halol city, tried to commit suicide by swallowing poison this afternoon. At present, the accused has been taken to Vadodara for treatment, where his condition is said to be critical.

According to the information received in this regard, a case has been registered against a youth named Ajaybhai Jadav under the section of POCSO Act on the complaint of molestation of a minor. At present the accused was on bail and had come to the court to serve his sentence.

Meanwhile, due to unknown reasons, the accused attempted to commit suicide by swallowing poisonous medicine. Hence Ajay was immediately shifted to the referral hospital in Halol through 108 ambulance. Where after first aid, the accused has been referred to Vadodara because he needs more intensive treatment.

Still, for what reason and what kind of poison did the accused drink? There is no specific information about this. At present, Halol Rural Police has registered a case at Halol police station and is trying to take legal action regarding the incident.
