The BRICS summit is currently being held in Russia, which is an old friend of India. There is a huge gathering of world leaders in Kazan city of Russia. Big countries like China, Russia, India have participated in this conference. Then PM Modi addressed the BRICS summit. Various issues have been covered in this address.
Addressing the BRICS summit, PM Modi said that UPI is a big success story in India. Many countries have adopted UPI. Apart from this, PM Modi mentioned 'Ek Vriksha Matan Naam' in the BRICS conference. PM Modi further said, “BRICS has made many achievements” and also said that important steps have been taken regarding the environment.
PM Modi said that BRICS is not divisive but in public interest. Global institutions will have to raise their voice for reform. We are capable of a secure and prosperous future. Meanwhile, the PM also raised his voice against terrorism. He said that we have to fight strongly against terrorism and terror funding. We have to stop the youth from becoming fundamentalists. India supports dialogue and diplomacy, not war.
PM Modi thanked Russian President Putin
PM Modi said, “I express my gratitude to President Putin for organizing a beautiful meeting today. I am very happy that we are meeting for the first time as an extended BRICS family. I heartily welcome all the new members joining the BRICS family. I congratulate President Putin on becoming a successful President of Russia last year.”
India will fulfill its responsibility
PM Modi further said that, I am confident that, in the times to come, we all together will make this unique platform an example of dialogue, cooperation and coordination. In this context, India will always continue to fulfill its obligations as a founding member of BRICS. Once again thank you all very much.”
