PM Modi's comprehensive plan to dominate the Indian Ocean

New Delhi: Trade worth $3 trillion takes place annually between Southeast and North Asia through the Indian Ocean. Therefore, the security of the Indian Ocean Region (IOR) is of utmost importance to India. Prime Minister Modi has drawn up plans to set up a naval base and a radar network from Diglipur to Minicoy Island in the west. Accordingly, 2G-A will be expanded in Diglipur and the runway at Campbell Bay in Great Nicobar will also be extended. Facilities will be created in Port Blair so that aircraft can land even at night.

Apart from this, the runway of Agathi Airport in Lakshadweep Island will also be expanded and a new runway will be built on Minicoy Island. The runway at the INS base in Campbell Bay will be extended to 4,000 feet, allowing large jets and fighter planes to take off. The runway of INS Kohassa located in Diglipur will also be expanded. This airbase will be useful in times of emergency.

All this is being ensured and in view of this, the Indian Air Force recently carried out a night landing of Airbus 321, which was done at Veer Savarkar Airport in Port Blair. Thus an important test was completed.

Six more powerful radars will be deployed on the Andaman-Nicobar Islands as part of the Modi government's plan to boost India's maritime power. The runway at Campbell near the Nicobar Islands will be expanded and high-power radars are also proposed to be installed there. Which will be installed in 'Galaxy Bay' of Great Nicobar.

This area is just 150 km away from Banda Aset in Indonesia. Minicoy Island is 300 km away from Maldives. It is very far

Maldives punches India, which is many times more powerful than it, but it is doing so with the help of China. It has taken a lot of loans from China, it has become a debtor, so it has to help China.

More than $3 trillion in trade flows annually into the Indian Ocean via the Suez Canal and the Persian Gulf. From there, steamers travel to the South China Sea via the Straits of Malacca, Suez and Lombok, so securing the Indian Ocean and the Indo-Pacific region against the Chinese Navy is imperative.
