PM Modi's address at the East Asia Summit, 'This is not the era of war'

Attending the East Asia Summit in Vientiane, the capital of Laos. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the 19th East Asia Summit on Friday morning. PM Modi was the first leader to be invited to address the East Asia Summit after the current host and the host of the next summit. This is being seen as a big success. And this is also being seen as India's growing stature and influence among ASEAN countries.

Meanwhile, PM Modi was most mentioned as the only leader to participate in the East Asia Summit. The Prime Minister has participated in nine of the 19 East Asia Summits. The East Asia Summit (EAS) refers to the meeting of the heads of state, government and presidents of the participating countries. Which is organized every year. The East Asia Summit began in 2005 with the holding of the first Asian Summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In its early days, the country was involved in the East Asia Sikh Conference.

Called terrorism a serious challenge

PM Modi said that terrorism is also a serious challenge to global peace and security. The forces that believe in humanity must work together to combat it. Mutual cooperation will also have to be strengthened in the fields of cyber, maritime and space.
