PM Modi Italy visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to Italy on his first foreign visit after assuming power for the third consecutive term. Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra said today that Prime Minister Modi will visit Apulia, Italy on Thursday to attend the 50th G-7 summit at the invitation of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

The 50th G-7 summit will be held this time from June 13 to 15 at Borgo Egnazia, a luxury resort in the Apulia region of Italy. India has been invited to this summit as an outreach country.

He further said that PM Modi may hold a bilateral meeting with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni during his first foreign visit of his third term. In the meeting, both the Prime Ministers are expected to review the entire aspects of bilateral relations and give directions for the next step.

The G-7 is a group of seven advanced economies of the world, which includes the US, UK, France, Italy, Germany, Canada and Japan. Top leaders attending the summit include US President Joe Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
