Kolkata, May 27 (HS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Kolkata on Tuesday in connection with the Lok Sabha election campaign. He will hold a road show here in support of BJP candidate Tapas Roy from North Kolkata seat. The Prime Minister's road show will start from Shyambazar Panch Matha Mor in North Kolkata and will end at the residence of Swami Vivekananda located at Shimla Street.
This will be the first road show of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kolkata before the polling. The Prime Minister will start the program by paying tribute to Netaji at Panch Matha More in Shyambazar. The procession will pass through Vidhan Sarani. The Prime Minister will go to Swami Vivekananda's house and conclude the program by paying tribute to Swamiji there. Before starting the road show, the Prime Minister will go to Sarada Ma's house in Bagbazar. He will stay there for about forty minutes.
The Prime Minister will be accompanied by Leader of Opposition in the State Assembly Shubhendu Adhikari, BJP State President Sukanta Majumdar and BJP candidate from North Kolkata Tapas Roy. The Prime Minister's roadshow will showcase various cultural specialties of Bengal along with Dhak and tribal dance.
Before the program in the capital Kolkata, Prime Minister Modi will hold public meetings in Ashoknagar of North 24 Parganas and Baruipur of South 24 Parganas. After the road show in Kolkata, the Prime Minister is scheduled to stay overnight at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday night. After this, on May 29, Modi will address another election rally in Mathurapur of South 24 Parganas. BJP state president Sukanta Majumdar has claimed that the Prime Minister's road show in Kolkata will take a historic turn.
