Today is a very special day from the point of view of Lok Sabha elections 2024. Prime Minister Narendra Modi today filed his candidature from Varanasi Lok Sabha seat of Uttar Pradesh. The Prime Minister first went to Dashashwamedh Ghat in Banaras and then visited Kaal Bhairav Temple.
He filed his candidature after worshiping Ganga and seeing Kalbhairav.

Voting will be held in Varanasi on June 1
Voting for Varanasi Lok Sabha seat will be held in the last phase on June 1. The process of filling the candidature form for this has started from May 7. It is noteworthy that in the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections (Lok Sabha Elections 2024), voting is to be held on 96 seats in 10 states on May 13. These 10 states include Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir. A total of 59.71 percent voting took place in the first phase, 60.96 percent in the second phase and 61.45 percent in the third phase. After the fourth phase, voting will be held on 49 seats in the fifth phase on May 20, in the sixth phase on 57 seats on May 25 and in the seventh and final phase on June 1, voting will be held on 57 seats.
