Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme- There is good news for the farmers who are eagerly waiting for the 18th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme. According to a report, this installment can be released in October 2024.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had released the 17th installment in June 2024 and the 16th installment was released in February this year.
Benefits of PM-Kisan Yojana
Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, eligible farmers are given financial assistance of Rs 2,000 every four months or Rs 6,000 annually. This amount is paid in three installments – April-July, August-November and December-March.
This amount is transferred directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. This scheme was announced by the then Finance Minister Piyush Goyal during the interim Budget in 2019 and later launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It has now become the world's largest Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme.
E-KYC required for installments
To avail the benefits of this scheme, farmers have to complete their e-KYC process. According to the official website of the scheme, eKYC is mandatory for farmers registered with PMKisan.
OTP-based eKYC is available on the PMKISAN portal, or nearest CSC centres can be contacted for biometric eKYC.

Visit the official website pmkisan.gov.in
Click on the 'Know Your Status' tab.
Enter your registration number, captcha code and select 'Get Data' option.
Your status will be revealed.
Check Name in Beneficiary List:
Visit the official website of Pradhan Mantri Kisan www.pmkisan.gov.in
Click on the 'Beneficiary List' tab.
Select State, District, Sub-District, Block and Village.
Click on 'Get Report'.
After this the list of beneficiaries will be revealed.
How to apply for PM Kisan Yojana:
Visit pmkisan.gov.in
Click on 'New Farmer Registration' and enter the Aadhaar number.
Fill in the required information in PM-Kisan Application Form 2024, save it and take a printout for future reference. Visit the official website for the latest information related to this scheme.
