New Delhi/Patna/Lucknow (Special Correspondent): Smiles are going to return once again on the faces of crores of farmers of the country. Preparations have almost been completed by the Agriculture Ministry for the 24th installment of ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana’ (PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana), one of the most ambitious schemes of the Central Government. Farmers from all the states of the country including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Haryana are eagerly waiting for Rs 2000 to arrive in their bank accounts. According to the latest information received from the ground level and sources of the Agriculture Department, the government is going to send this amount to the accounts of the farmers through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) very soon. But amidst this good news, a worrying news is also coming to the fore. Like every time, this time also the money of 24th installment may get stuck in the accounts of lakhs of farmers. The Agriculture Department has made it clear that the farmers who have not completed the necessary formalities prescribed by the government may have to be deprived of the benefits of the scheme this time. In such a situation, if you are also a beneficiary farmer, then this news is very important for you because a small mistake can withhold Rs 2000 from your entitlement.
When will the 24th installment of PM Kisan Yojana be released and what is the latest update?
Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the Central Government provides financial assistance of Rs 6000 every year to the eligible farmers of the country. This amount is given to the farmers in three equal installments of Rs 2000-2000 at an interval of every four months so that they can arrange for the minor expenses of their farming, such as fertilizers, seeds and pesticides, without any loan. Till now, farmers have successfully received 23 installments and now all eyes are on the 24th installment. According to media reports and departmental sources, the government can transfer the amount of 24th installment to the accounts of crores of farmers by pressing a button under a special program in the next few days. Although no official date has been announced yet by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, the process of locking the final list of beneficiaries by the state governments is in the final stages. As soon as this process is completed, this amount will be released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Farmers are advised not to pay attention to any kind of rumors and keep checking their status regularly on the official portal pmkisan.gov.in.
Your Rs 2000 may get stuck due to these three big mistakes
The government has made the rules stricter than ever to bring transparency and prevent fraud in the PM Kisan Yojana. If the previous installment was received in your account, it does not mean that the 24th installment will also arrive without any interruption. The first and biggest reason for money getting stuck is incompleteness of ‘e-KYC’. The government has clearly instructed that the next installment will not be given to any farmer without e-KYC. The second most important reason is the lack of ‘verification of land records’ (Land Seeding). In many states, physical verification of farmers’ land is being done by local Patwari or revenue officials. If ‘No’ is written in front of Land Seeding in your status, then your installment will definitely stop. The third major reason is the bank account not being linked to Aadhaar and mapping to NPCI. Since the government now sends money only through Aadhaar Based Payment System (ABPS), if your bank account is not enabled for DBT, then even if the government sends money, the amount will not be credited to your account.
Government’s crackdown on ineligible farmers and mistakes in application form
Apart from the above three technical reasons, sometimes small mistakes made by farmers while filling the form also become the reason for stoppage of installment. For example, if there is a difference between the spelling of the name written in your Aadhar card and the name entered on the PM Kisan Portal, then the system rejects your data. Similarly, payment fails due to wrong bank account number or wrong IFSC code. Along with this, the Central Government is also continuously tightening its grip on those people who are availing the benefits of this scheme wrongly despite being ineligible. According to the rules, if any member of a farmer family pays income tax, holds any constitutional post, is in a government job (except Class IV), or is a professional like doctor, engineer, lawyer, chartered accountant, then they cannot get the benefit of this scheme. Also, names of people who get pension of Rs 10,000 or more per month are also being removed from the beneficiary list. In the same family, both husband and wife cannot get this benefit, even in such a situation the installment is being stopped.
Complete e-KYC and land verification immediately sitting at home so that money does not get stuck
If you have not completed your e-KYC yet, there is no need to panic. You can do this work sitting at home using your smartphone in just two minutes. For this, first of all you have to go to the official website of PM Kisan pmkisan.gov.in. There on the homepage you will see the option of ‘e-KYC’ under ‘Farmers Corner’. After clicking on it enter your Aadhaar number. After this, an OTP will come on the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar, once entered, your e-KYC will be completed successfully. If your mobile number is not linked to Aadhaar, you can get your KYC done through biometric method (by putting thumb impression) by visiting your nearest Common Service Center (CSC) or Vasudha Center. Apart from this, you can also complete KYC by scanning your face (Face Authentication) by downloading ‘PMKISAN GOI’ and ‘AadhaarFaceRD’ apps from Google Play Store. At the same time, if Land Seeding is showing ‘No’ in your status, then for this you will have to meet the Agriculture Officer of your block or Halka Lekhpal/Patwari and submit your land documents (Khatauni/Khesra), after which they will update it online.
How to check your name and status in PM Kisan Beneficiary List
To know the status of his 24th installment, every farmer must check his beneficiary status. For this, go to the official portal and click on the option of ‘Know Your Status’. Here you have to enter your registration number. If you do not remember the registration number, you can retrieve it immediately with the help of your mobile number or Aadhaar number. After filling the captcha code and submitting the OTP, your complete horoscope will open on your screen. Here you have to see three things in particular: first e-KYC Status, second Eligibility Status and third Land Seeding. It is mandatory to have ‘Yes’ written in green color in front of these three. Also, ‘Aadhaar Bank Account Seeding Status’ should also be ‘Yes’. If you want to see whether your name is in the new list of your village or not, click on ‘Beneficiary List’ on the homepage. There select your state (like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh etc.), your district, your tehsil or block and finally your village name and click on ‘Get Report’. The list of beneficiaries of the entire village will open in front of you, in which you can easily find your name.
