Ramgarh, 26 August (HS). The mystery of the murder of plumber Sanjay Bedia in Kuju OP area of the district has been solved. The family members themselves conspired to kill Sanjay and executed it. Sanjay's entire family had suddenly become millionaires a year ago. Greed for money made brother an enemy of brother and with the intention of usurping crores of rupees, Sanjay's brother Dharmendra Bedia got him killed. 5 criminals have been arrested in this case. Ramgarh SP Ajay Kumar gave this information during a press conference on Monday evening. He told that Sanjay Bedia was murdered near Tilaiya village on the evening of 23 August.
SP Ajay Kumar said that a 7.65 bore pistol, two live cartridges, three empty shells from the crime scene, two motorcycles used in the crime and five mobile phones have been seized from the arrested criminals. In this case, Dharmendra Bedia, resident of Tilaiya village in Kuju OP area, Subhash Bedia, resident of Joba Khapiya village in Patratu police station area, Karan Oraon, resident of Aswan village in Barhkagaon police station area of Hazaribagh district, Umesh Bedia, resident of Jarjara Urimari and the main shooter Aman Kumar Thakur, resident of Gudu Pacha village in Ormanjhi police station area of Ranchi district have been arrested.
All the criminals were caught within 24 hours
Within 24 hours of the murder, a special team formed under the leadership of CDPO Parmeshwar Prasad arrested all the criminals. During interrogation after the incident, it was revealed that two people riding a bike had shot Sanjay Bedia during the rain. He was rushed to the hospital. But he died on the way. During investigation, the police immediately came to know that Dharmendra Bedia was behind this incident. Dharmendra is Sanjay's cousin. Dharmendra, along with his cousin Subhash Bedia, had paid money to shooter Aman Kumar Thakur and called him to Ramgarh. Aman, along with Karan and Umesh, took the contract for the murder. They were trying to kill Sanjay Bedia for about 1 month.
A year ago, Sanjay's family had received Rs 3 crore 12 lakh
During investigation it was found that the land of Sanjay's family was acquired for Bharat Mala Project and four lane. A year ago, the government had given Rs. 3 crore 12 lakhs to all his family members. Dharmendra Bedia was leading the whole family in this project. He told the whole family that only Rs. 2 crores were received from the government in which everyone had a share. Later Sanjay Bedia came to know that the government had given Rs. 3 crore 12 lakhs and Dharmendra had already paid Rs. 1 crore 12 lakhs. After this, Sanjay started pressurizing Dharmendra for his share of the money. Dharmendra did not want to give the money, so he along with his cousin hatched a conspiracy to kill him. On August 23, those people had started following Sanjay from Kujju Naya Mor. After this, when Sanjay was returning home from his in-laws' house at 7 pm, before reaching Tilaiya village, seeing the deserted place, Aman shot him.
SP Ajay Kumar said that there are already five criminal cases registered against Karan Oraon. Also, two criminal cases are registered against Subhash Bedia. These people were already involved in the criminal world. Karan Oraon has also had links with Naxalite organizations.
