Jaipur, 3 December (Hindustan Reporter). ‘Run for Vikas Rajasthan-2024’ (Ravi-Raj) will be organized in Jaipur on December 12 on the occasion of completion of one year of the tenure of the state government. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Youth and Sports Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore will flag off Run for Rajasthan from Amar Jawan Jyoti located at Janpath at 8 am.
Dr. Neeraj Kumar Pawan, Government Secretary, Youth Affairs and Sports Department, took a meeting on Tuesday regarding the preparations for organizing ‘Run for Vikas Rajasthan’ program at Sawai Mansingh Stadium and gave necessary guidelines to the officials of the concerned departments. He gave instructions to ensure maximum participation of participants in the program and to provide all necessary facilities for them. He instructed all the concerned departments to work in mutual coordination for the successful organization of the program.
He told that the route of the program will be from Amar Jawan Jyoti to SMS Stadium via Tonk Road, Rambagh Circle, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Circle and Amar Jawan Jyoti.
Thousands of participants including various educational institutions of the state, NCC, NSS, Bharat-Hindustan Scouts and Guides, Police, RAC, Army, Home Guards, various employee unions, NGOs and common people will be a part of the Ravi-Raj program.
Organizing band playing and cultural activities
Dr. Pawan told that in the program various cultural presentations of dance by Rajasthani folk artists including band playing will also be organized by organizations like Army, Police, RAC, Scouts and Guides etc. On this occasion, the participating players of Paris Olympics-2024 and medal winners of Asian Games-2023 will be honored.
He informed that on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti (National Youth Day), December 12, 2024 to January 12, 2025 will be celebrated as “Vivek Maas”. Sports competitions and cultural programs will be organized throughout the state this month.
In the meeting, Deputy Secretary of Youth Affairs and Sports Department Anita Meena, Jaipur ADM Ashish Kumar, Sports Council Secretary Rajendra Kumar Sisodia, Youth Board Member Secretary Kailash Chand Pahadia, DoIT, Tourism, Municipal Corporation Greater, Medical and Health, Skill Planning, Officials from related departments like Scout Guide, Higher Education etc. were present.
