Mumbai, July 25 (HS). The player auction for Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2024 will be held on 15th and 16th August 2024 in Mumbai.
The league's journey began a decade ago with a thrilling match between U Mumba and Jaipur Pink Panthers in Mumbai. After the successful conclusion of the tenth season of the Pro Kabaddi League from 2 December 2023 to 1 March 2024, the league has become the second sports league in India to complete 10 seasons.
Additionally, organisers Mashal Sports released a new logo ahead of Pro Kabaddi League Season 11. The logo features saffron and green colours similar to the Indian tricolour, portraying the sport of Kabaddi as a proud sport of the country.
Anupam Goswami, League Commissioner, Pro Kabaddi League said, “We are delighted to announce that the player auction for Pro Kabaddi Season 11 is being held on Independence Day this year. Kabaddi, which has been India's unique and popular sport for many millennia, is strongly showcased as a world-class competitive discipline in Pro Kabaddi. This is a great achievement for all the stakeholders of Pro Kabaddi as well as the country's Kabaddi ecosystem under the patronage of AKFI. We will celebrate this achievement with great patriotic fervour at the Season 11 Player Auction.”
