It is worth mentioning that this campaign was started by the country's Prime Minister Narendra Modi, so that everyone's participation in environmental stability is ensured. In this regard, District Panchayat CEO Roma Srivastava said that on August 22, a one-day program will be organized in the district with the name of “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” and tree plantation will be done. Participation of all officers, employees, stakeholders, beneficiaries of schemes, civil society organizations, SHGs has been ensured in this campaign. People will be appealed to protect the planted saplings. A massive plantation program will be conducted through Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, Forest, Horticulture, Agriculture Department. It will also be developed through convergence of related schemes.
Plantation will be done at public place in the village
The program will be implemented through a comprehensive plantation campaign in public places of the village, by the village elders, aware citizens, Anganwadi schools (with the participation of women from the women's self-help group). Through the beneficiaries of Mahatma Gandhi NREGA who have constructed the pond (Technical Assistant Employment Assistant), through the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin Purna Awas Yojana (PM Housing Coordinator) they will ensure responsibility by planting “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” saplings.
