Plane crashes soon after takeoff from Nepal's Tribhuvan airport, 18 killed

Nepal plane crash: A major accident has happened in Kathmandu, Nepal. A domestic plane crashed soon after takeoff from Tribhuvan Airport here. According to initial reports, the plane suddenly caught fire during take-off. There were 19 people on board this plane, out of which 18 people have died so far. At the same time, the pilot has been rescued and is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital.

The accident happened due to a technical fault

According to local media reports of Nepal, Shaurya Airlines flight number MP CRJ 200 took off from runway two of Tribhuvan Airport in Kathmandu for Pokhara. Meanwhile, due to technical fault, the plane caught fire as soon as it took off. There was chaos at the airport as the entire plane turned into a ball of fire. It is said that there were 19 people on board the Veerangana plane, including 15 passengers and 4 crew members, out of which 18 people died.

A cloud of smoke was seen at the airport

According to initial information, bodies of 18 people have also been recovered from the spot. Apart from this, 37-year-old pilot M.R. Shakya was rescued from the debris and shifted to KMC Hospital in Sinnamangal for treatment.
