Pitru Paksha (Shraddha) 2024: In Hinduism, after gods and goddesses, ancestors have a special place and importance. The souls of our ancestors living in Pitruloka come to earth during Shraddha Paksha to attain salvation and bless the family. During these 15 days, offerings are made for the peace of their souls.

- If you know any mantra then you should chant it while performing Tarpan.
- If no mantra comes, then meditate on the ancestors by chanting 'Om Bhu: Tripyatam, Om Bhuva: Tripyatam, Om Sha: Tripyatam' 11 times in subtle tarpan.
- Make kheer from cow's milk and offer it in the fire for the ancestors.
